This Privacy Policy explains how Italia360 ("we", "us") handles your information when you use the Italia360 mobile app and related services.

1) Core privacy principle

Italia360 is built with a privacy-first approach. Your document attachments (photos and PDFs) are stored only on your device. We do not upload your document files to our servers.

2) What we store on your device

• Document attachments (photos/PDFs), stored locally (encrypted on supported devices).
• Profile photo (if you add one), stored locally only.
• Basic app preferences (language and settings).

3) What we may store on our servers

To support core app features, the backend may store metadata only such as:

• Account information (e.g., email, hashed password).
• Document metadata (type, issue date, expiry date, issuing authority).
• App content used by the app (renewal guides, offices, news).

Note: Your attachments (photos/PDFs) are not included in metadata sync.

4) Notifications

If you enable notifications, Italia360 may generate local or push notifications about expiring documents and important news updates. You can disable notifications in the app settings or device settings.

5) Permesso status feature (unofficial)

Italia360 includes an "unofficial" feature that reads the public status page of the Italian Questura website to display your Permesso status inside the app. Italia360 is not a government app and does not represent any government entity.

6) Data retention

• On-device data: stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
• Server data: retained as needed to operate the service, or until you request deletion.

7) Your rights

Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA), you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, or export your data. You can request help via the contact options below.
